Wipro Infotech, part of the IT major Wipro Ltd, has unveiled its second manufacturing unit at Kotdwar in Uttarakhand.
The new unit, which is a Green facility, would manufacture servers, storage devices, notebooks, desktops and allied goods. The plant spread over 5.8 acres of land has a manufacturing capacity of approximately 1000 machines a day.
The company aims to cater to customers in the northern region of the country more effectively with the latest facility.
Yesterday, Wipro signed a partnership deal with US-based software firm SAS, to deliver Business Intelligence and software solutions to meet its increasing demand.
