Kribhco plans 1000 MW Power Project in Bihar with an investment of Rs 4000 crore

Fertilizer major Krishak Bharati Co-operative (Kribhco) has unveiled its plan to place an order for joint venture project with a capacity of 1000 mw in Bihar. The project will be commissioned in association with the Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) with a total investment of Rs 4000 crore.

Kribhco also informed that the first power JV of 1000 mw in association with Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) is on track.

Kribhco will hold the stake of 51 percent in the second project. The project requires at least 1000 acre of land.

Kribhco has also formed an alliance with Railways for container services and has commenced the operations to establish a jetty at its Hazira power plant. The money for the project has been raised from Banks and financial institutions.

Kribhco plans to set up the Chhattisgarh power plant by the end of 11th Plan. As for the Bihar venture, it is yet to fix the date of completion.
