ViewSonic Announces Release of Multimedia Player VPD400 MovieBook
ViewSonic takes one step ahead in presenting customers with a fair share of interesting display hardware, by announcing its break into the multimedia player market with the launch of its VPD400 MovieBook, an entry level, palm sized player with which the company is hoping to compete with the much established iPod by Apple and Microsoft's Zune.
The music player sports a 4.3 inch display screen with a resolution of 800x480 and comes at an affordable price of $129.99. The gadget boasts an in-built memory of 8GB, which can be expanded up-to 16GB with the microSDHC card slot.
Supporting 720P HD playback, the MovieBook comes with an AV out-port, but no HDMI. The device promises audio playback of up-to 12 hours as well as standard video of 6 hours and 3 hours in HD mode.
While the device does not offer any Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity support, it is still one of the most reasonable deals users can bag with regards to the large memory offered. Currently, the players are available at numerous retailers in Black, White and Pink.
