VE Commercial Vehicles books 65% jump in October sales
VE Commercial Vehicles, leading commercial vehicles maker, has posted a handsome growth of 65% in its total sales of Eicher trucks as well as buses in October.
During the said month, company’s total sales figure stood at 2,257 units. In a communiqué, the company stated that its sales figure in October 2008 stood at 1,367 units.
Domestic sales of the company in the reporting month surged by 71.09% to 2,024 units, as against 1,183 units in the similar period a year ago.
Further, company’s exports for the month also witnessed a growth of 26.63% to 233 units compared with 184 units previous year.
In the like month, sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market also climbed by 77.97% to 1,680 units, against 944 units in October, 2008.
Heavy commercial vehicle sales also witnessed a good increase of 21.15% at 126 units against 104 units in October last financial year. VE Commercial Vehicles, is a joint venture formed between Eicher Motors and Sweden’s Volvo.
