Leading two-wheeler maker, TVS Motors has again come up with its popular twin-spark plug ‘Flame’ bike, especially focusing on executive segment. TVS Flame DS 125 would be available at Rs 49,200 across all dealerships of the company.

TVS informed that two separate intake ports namely swirl and tumble ports are provided in the bike for getting better output and fuel efficiency. The firm added, “This swirl motion helps in efficient combustion of lean air-fuel mixture, thus giving maximum fuel economy in its class.”

Bajaj Auto and TVS grappled in a legal battle over production of twin bikes with twin-spark plug but the Supreme Court allowed TVS to go ahead with its production irrespective of reservation of Bajaj. However, the apex court is yet to give final decision on its marketing strategy.

The court has also directed the Madras HC for speedy disposal of the case and appointed a receiver for watching the manufacturing and sales of DS 125 by TVS.

TVS Motor president, marketing, HS Goindi, said, “We will comply with SC directive and keep an account of the sales. We have re-launched TVS Flame DS 125 in south and hope to cover other markets in three to four months.”
