Tata Steel Sales Zoom 38% in October

Tata Steel has reported decent growth of 38% in its sales in October. Company’s sales figure in the reporting month stood at 462,000 tonnes.

In a communiqué, functionaries of Tata Steel stated that the rise in company’s sales is due to strong demand from the construction sector.

In the similar period of previous financial year, Tata Steel’s sales figure stood at approximately 335,000 tonnes.

The steel major has informed that in the said month it has recorded substantial growth of 89% in the sales of long steel products over the like month a year ago.

In the month under review, the conglomerate has witnessed a jump of 22% in its crude steel output which stood at 599,000 tonnes.

Further, the company has also posted a decent growth of 27% in its saleable steel production in October, which stood 570,000 tonnes as compared with 450,000 tonnes in October 2008.
