Sun Pharmaceutical’s US subsidiary receives USFDA nod for Cetirizine Hydrochloride syrup

Pharmaceutical major Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has announced that its US subsidiary has got approval from USFDA for Cetirizine Hydrochloride syrup.
USFDA has grant permission for the syrup in strength of 5 mg/ml.
Cetirizine Hydrochloride (Generic Zyrtec) is an antihistamine, which is prescribed for treating allergies, hives (urticaria), and other allergic inflammatory conditions.
Sun Pharmaceutical, on Nov 10, won authorization from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for ANDA of its arm for generic Acular, ketorolac tromethamine ophthalmic solution, in the strength of 0.5%.
Shares of the company gained Rs 10, or 0.7%, to settle at Rs 1,452.15. The total volume of shares traded was 21,341 on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) (Friday).
