Leading manufacturer of storage devices, Transcend has launched its new 64GB Class 10 SDXC memory cards in the Indian market.

The high storage cards will provide fast transfer rates up to 25 MB/s. The Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC) is the new standard set by Secure Digital Association (SDA) for SD cards.

The users will now be able to use the new class 10 cards for HD video recording and better camera performance. The company is offering cards with capacities ranging from 32GB up to 2TB which is much higher when compared to SDHC standard cards that offer only up to 32GB.

Transcend has announced the launch of its new JetFlash 620 USB Flash Drive in the Indian market. The compact device offers speed and improved security for the digital data stored by the users.

The dual channel technology offers speeds of upto 32MB/second with write speeds of up to 18 MB/second. The dimensions of the dflashrive are 60.9mm × 19.3mm × 8.5mmand it weighs only 8.5gms. It supports USB 2. o Interface and runs on NAND Flash memory chips.

Transcend Information has recorded a drop of 20.1% in revenues to $73 million in the month of February 2010 mainly due to fewer working days in the month.

The company also saw drop in shipments to about 4.77 million units from 5.7 million shipped in January 2010.

New RDP7 multi-card reader has been launched by Transcend that features an integrated USB hub in India. It can accommodate up to three USB 2.0 or lower based peripherals in addition to reading most memory card formats available in the market.
