Sony Ericsson launches Windows Mobile 6.5.3 ‘Aspen’ smartphone

Sony-Ericsson-AspenSony Ericsson has released its new smartphone SE Aspen with the operating system Windows Mobile 6.5.3. The phone is expected to be launched in the UK in the second quarter of this year.

There are a wide variety of phones in the market and new phones needs unique features to attract customers. Sony Ericsson has launched the new smartphone with a number of green credentials.

The phone is the latest in the Greenheart portfolio which aims at making phones with less impact on the environment. The phone is to directly compete with Nokia E72 and BlackBerry devices as they are front facing QWERTY keyboard Windows Mobile devices.

The QVGA display screen of the phone measures 2.4 inch. For connectivity solutions it offers Quad-band 3G/EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth. It also features a 3.2 megapixel camera. It also offers a range of multi media features including Stereo speakers and 3.5mm headset jack.

It has microUSB port for both syncing and charging options. The phone has inbuilt storage capacity of 4GB card which can be extended through a microSD card slot.

The dimensions of the phone are 4.61 x 2.36 x 0.49 inches and it weighs 4.58 ounces. The phone will be available in Iconic Black and White Silver colors. The phone is expected to be affordable while also offering Sony Ericsson panels and UI elements.

Sony Ericsson says that phone has a "human curvature design" so it "fits into the palm of the hand".
