Solar Semiconductor inks strategic partnership with TUV Rheinland

Hyderabad-based Solar Semiconductor (SS), a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules, has entered into a strategic partnership with TUV Rheinland India Limited, for certifying safety and quality of the former's products, systems and services.

The recent strategic cooperative partnership with TUV Rheinland will enable Solar Semiconductor to have a speedy, yet efficient, quality-oriented process for validating new products with new materials.

Solar Semiconductor offers innovative, quality Solar Photo-Voltaic products and services that leverage the greatest energy source known to man - SUN. With operations in India and the USA (California), Solar Semiconductor is a truly global organization.

The company currently has an order book of $2 billion (Rs 8,000 crore) to be delivered in three years.

Big steel and power companies like NTPC, ArcelorMittal, GVK Power, Jindal Steel & Power, GMR Energy and Damodar Valley Corporation may be stripped off the captive mines that were allotted to them.

As per the information available, as many as 97 companies are going to be given notice by the government asking them as to why they have failed in starting work in the captive mines provided to them.
