Online Services across India Launched by Microsoft
Software and Internet services giant Microsoft is all set to launch the commercial availability of all its online services throughout India. Starting at a nominal price of $2 or Rs.
95 per month for each user, the service will allow small and medium enterprises and customers to access Microsoft's e-mail, collaboration, conferencing and productivity facilities online.
The complete set of the Microsoft Online Services being offered includes Exchange Online, which is the e-mail client, Office SharePoint Online, for portals and collaborations, to make instant messaging and presence easier, there are Microsoft Exchange Hosted Services and Microsoft Office Communications Online. "Customers can access a suite of products directly from the company website and pay a use-based monthly subscription fee and thus manage their IT needs efficiently and lower their IT spend 10-50 per cent", said Microsoft's Business Group President Stephen Elop.
In order to reach out its Indian customer base more effectively and to market and offer value-added services with regards to the Microsoft Online Services, the company has joined hands with HCL Infosystems, Infosys and Wipro.
