Nokia World 2009 displays firm’s strength

World's leading mobile phone supplier, Nokia Inc launched new Nokia N900 at Nokia World 09 besides showcasing its strength in the presence of 1800 people and telecom representatives from across the globe. The event was started by Olli Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia's President and CEO by highlighting 144 year history of the mobile manufacturer.

Nokia N900, based on Linux -supported Maemo software, gives PC like feeling due to the use of Mozilla-based browser technology and 32 GB of storage capacity expandable up to 48 GB via micro SD slot. The touch sensitive device makes switching between applications easily, thanks to facility of multiple applications supported by the OS. Web browsing becomes more easy due to fast connectivity provided through 10/2 HSPA and WLAN.

Company's website maintains, "Nokia World 09 was a dynamic experience, co-created by the community, arranged by Nokia and it focused on developing new business opportunities."

Making its entry into consumer hardware, Nokia introduced its first sleek and stylish net book, the Booklet 3G, in the market with 12 hour battery backup and Window 7 operating system. The net book weighing around 1.25 Kg supports a 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom processor with 120 GB of hard disk.

BMW introduces 3-Series Touring

Germany-based luxury car maker BMW recently took wraps off its fifth-generation 3 Series Touring, which is more spacious inside than ever before.

The all-new 2013 3 Series Touring sedan is longer than the predecessor by 97mm, and its height is 11mm more at 1429mm.

Its 50mm longer wheelbase than the previous Touring allows it to provide an extra 35 litres of storage with the rear seats up. With the seats folded down, the new vehicle promises 1500 litres of space in total.

The 2013 3 Series Touring will be available in a choice of three advanced, powerful, yet economic engines.
