Mobile Data Service MBlaze Launched by MTS
Mobile data services provider MTS, a unit of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. has announced the nationwide launch of its new high speed data service MBlaze, which is offering free use of a few websites. With speeds up-to 3.1 MBPS, the service is being offered all across India for a very affordable tariff of 10 paisa or 1MB download.
As of recent official figures shared, MTS has a subscriber base of over 2.5 million users across telecom circles of West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and more. On a global level, the service boasts in excess of 100 million subscribers.
With the launch, MTS subscribers will be able to use the service, which is pre-paid, at highly affordable rates. Also, there will be no roaming charges when using the data service in a different circle of the network.
With rapidly growing users, MTS is looking to expand its network as much as possible, and will be available in an additional 26 cities starting next year. Currently the carrier operates in Delhi- NCR, Jaipur, Durgapur, Kochi, Kerala, Mysore and Bengaluru, among others.
As of now, the service has been introduced to eight MTS circles, and will be launched for the Mumbai circle in December. Free browsing of Yahoo, Wikipedia, and MakemyTrip, among others, is available under all tariff plans offered.
