ME 06 Introduced In India
HCL, Indian PC maker, has launched the newest in its line of netbooks which is called the ME 06 which basically looks like any standard model of the latest mini - laptop which has been out in the market in the year 2008 and 2009. It runs the Windows XP Home edition operating system and has a CPU with 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270.
It has also been reported that there are quite a few additional features of a 10.1 inch display with a RAM of 1GB and the hard drive has a good capacity of 160GB. The only two things that are in favor of the ME 06 having some original idea is the fact that it has 3G capacities and it also has a slot for SIM cards.
The battery is good enough to hold for more than five hours as it has six batteries and it weighs only a meager 3.5 pounds which is definitely an advantage as most people are going for netbooks which are sleeker and less heavy. The rate has been quoted to be Rs. 21640 which is about $465.
