Jet Airways Inks Pact With Emirates Airline
Jet Airways, India’s premier global airline, announced that it has clinched a reciprocal frequent flyer partnership and unilateral code share pact with Emirates Airline, the award-winning international carrier with extensive services from India.
Effective from Dec. 15, 2008, the two airlines would roll out a reciprocal frequent flyer arrangement through which members of Jet Airways` JetPrivilege, India`s largest frequent flyer programme, may earn and redeem miles across Emirates rapidly-diversifying worldwide network, with the exception of flights between India and Dubai.
According to sources, Emirates also plans to start a unilateral code share on Jet Airways daily flights from Mumbai and New Delhi to and from Dubai, providing passengers increased connectivity and a range of services between India and Dubai.
At present, Jet Airways has code share pact with Air Canada, American Airlines, ANA, Brussels Airlines, Etihad, Qantas and JetLite.
