Indian Markets trading strong; BSE Sensex at 15,070
Indian Stock markets opened positive on Thursday as global cues were positive. At 1.05 pm, BSE Sensex was up by 260 points at 15,070. NSE Nifty was up by 75 points at 4469.
During an interview with Business News channel CNBC-TV18, Clive McDonnell, Head Equiy Strategy at BNP Paribas said that their research house believes in higher ratings for India expecting decent growth in Banking, Consumer Goods and Capital Goods sectors.
Mr. McDonnell expects volatility to continue as investors were nervous about recent fall in Chinese stock markets. BNP Paribas has revised target for BSE Sensex at 20,100.
In today’s session, Indian Stock markets were helped mainly by Capital Goods, Metal Counters and Banking majors. At 1.05 pm, BSE Midcap was up by 70 points at 5504 while BSE Small Cap Index was up by 86 points at 6395.
