Honda launches 125 cc bike, CBF Stunner

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India Ltd (HMSI), has launched the 125cc CBF Stunner on Monday. The company has, thus, made its position in the fastest growing 125cc segment category in the motorcycle industry. The new bike would be priced between Rs.47070 and Rs.51655. The company has set a target to sale10 lakh units in the current fiscal. The seven lakh units of projected sales will come from scooters and the rest will be motorcycles.

Head (sales and marketing), HMSI Mr. NK Rattan has said that Honda will come up with two other mass models in this fiscal including a scooter. Company is planning to launch high-end 1000cc CBR in end of this year. It has sold 907000 units in 2007-08. HMSI currently has a market share of 11% in the motor market and now expected to grow up 15% in two years with its entrance in the 100cc segment.Honda Bikes

HMSI had earlier announced to set up a new manufacturing facility but it has now decided to scrap the idea. “Currently, our production capacity is of 1.2 million units, but it can be stretched up to 1.35 million units. So we can avail of this facility for the next 2-3 years. As of now, we do not have any plans to set up a new facility,” said Mr. Rattan.
