Ferrari introduces its fastest car

Luxury carmaker Ferrari yesterday provided a glimpse of fastest car ever- the F12 Berlinetta, ahead of its launch at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which will replace the company’s current top-of-the-line production car 599, will come equipped with a 730-horsepower, 6.3-liter V12 engine.

It will take merely three seconds to sprint from zero to 60 miles an hour. It is shortest time period for any Ferrari car to reach from zero to 60.

The top speed of the super car is 211 miles an hour.

In addition, the F12berlinetta is more fuel-efficient as it uses 30 per cent less fuel than the 599. The new car offers a combined city & highway fuel economy at around 17 miles a gallon.

The stylish interior features Frau Leather seats, while the dashboard has aluminum air vents along with carbon fibre trims.

Price tag for the F12 Berlinetta, which has been designed by Ferrari’s long time styling partner Pininfarina, is yet to be announced.

Chennai-born Mittu Chandilya to pilot AirAsia’s India operations

AirAsia's CEO Tony Fernandes on Wednesday revealed the identity of the person who will pilot the Malaysian airline's India operations.

Fernandes, the promoter of AirAsia, had announced in March that the airline had selected a very smart boy from Madras, with an amazing CV, as the CEO for AirAsia India.

Revealing the identity of the AirAsia India CEO, he yesterday said the CEO is 32-year-old, Chennai-born Mittu Chandilya, who is currently based in Singapore.
