Eros International inks multi-film licensing pact with Star TV
Eros International, a leading distributor of Bollywood films, has signed multi-film content licensing deal with Rupert Murdoch owned Star TV, one of the leading entertainment channels in India.
The deal covers a collection of catalogue films from Eros’ strong content library of over 1900 titles, including Salman Khan’s Tere Naam and
Hrithik Roshan’s Naa Tum Jaano Naa Hum. Recently, Eros International has also declared a series of major television syndication deals with Sony Entertainment Television and Sahara Television.
Star Network shows over 60 television services in 10 languages in Asia. The company's main channels in India include Star Plus, Star One, Star Utsav, Star Gold and Star News.
However, the financial details of the deal were not disclosed by the both companies.
