Deccan Chronicle Q3 Net profit tanks 75%
Newspaper publisher Deccan Chronicle Holdings has informed that its third quarter net profit fell 75 per cent to Rs 25.67 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The firm had a net profit of Rs 102.94 crore in the third quarter last fiscal.
However, total income of the company, rose to Rs 228.28 crore in the December quarter, from Rs 226.45 crore a year ago.
For the nine-month period ended December 31, Deccan Chronicle posted a net profit of Rs 131.92 crore, a 51 per cent decline from Rs 269.29 crore last year.
Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited engages in printing and publishing newspapers and periodicals in India. The company publishes Deccan Chronicle, an English daily; Financial Chronicle, a financial daily; and Andhra Bhoomi, a regional daily.
