California Software ties up with Ixia

California Software, a global product engineering and enterprise solutions company, has announced that it has linked up with Ixia.

Ixia is a leading worldwide supplier of performance test systems for IP-based infrastructures and services.

Under this multi-level alliance, California Software and Ixia will together make a joint investment to set up an Ixia Center of Excellence (COE) in Chennai. 

The COE will be an R&D lab aimed on jointly developing solutions for the international market. It will be equipped with the innovative Ixia IP test hardware and applications and will be staffed by Calsoft development, quality assurance, and support engineers. 

According to the sources, California Software will employ 100 engineers in the centre in the coming twelve months.

The source further revealed that Ixia will look to Calsoft to offer skills in technology arenas complimentary to Ixia`s in order to address telecommunication markets internationally.

While lecturing on the tie up, Mr. Sam Santhosh, CEO and managing director of California Software company stated, “We are very happy to be working in close partnership with Ixia. This partnership enables us to demonstrate and leverage our expertise in product development and testing, with a focus towards Ixia customers. Through this continued association, we will be investing in building infrastructure and resource capability and fortifying our strategy as an extended engineering development and testing team for Ixia.”

The scrip of California Software ended the day at Rs 53, up 15.59 percent on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded was 326 at the NSE.

BMW introduces 3-Series Touring

Germany-based luxury car maker BMW recently took wraps off its fifth-generation 3 Series Touring, which is more spacious inside than ever before.

The all-new 2013 3 Series Touring sedan is longer than the predecessor by 97mm, and its height is 11mm more at 1429mm.

Its 50mm longer wheelbase than the previous Touring allows it to provide an extra 35 litres of storage with the rear seats up. With the seats folded down, the new vehicle promises 1500 litres of space in total.

The 2013 3 Series Touring will be available in a choice of three advanced, powerful, yet economic engines.
