BlackBerry to come out with its latest in April; speculations
The coming month of April might see the launch of RIM's next touchscreen BlackBerry, the Talladega slider, says a Korean supplier, and as per by local news outlet Joins the parts of the new phone, nicknamed "T", would provided by Woojeon & Handan.
With being a new flagship for RIM in Europe and the US, it will go head-to-head against the iPhone.
The timing of the launch of Talladega lines up with RIM's own Wireless Enterprise Symposium, which starts April 27th and in earlier years has been used for introduction of new phones at times.
The touchscreen smartphone carries a large part of RIM's future success. The company had constantly made an effort to pitch the BlackBerry Storm and Storm2 as challengers to the iPhone; however not impressive sales could be obtained due to the conservative marketing and complaints about the unexpected click-down SurePress. Verizon commenced scraping prices soon a bit later after either phone was sold for $200, due to fuel demand.
There are speculations that Verizon was very well aware of poor sales related to Storm and it has purposely decided the release of Storm2 to overlap with those of the Droid and Droid Eris with the aim of making sure the BlackBerry wouldn't overshadow the intended sales leader.
Talladega will aim at meeting some of the commonly cited problems related to the Storm by dropping the SurePress action and tucking a real QWERTY keyboard into a vertical slider underneath the body.
