52% Rise in Motorcycle Sales Reported by Bajaj for October

Bajaj Auto, the country's foremost manufacturer of two wheelers, has reported a whopping 52% rise in motorcycle sales for the month of October. In the previous month alone, the company sold as many as 2,49,681 motorcycles. This is a significant improvement from last year's October sales which stood at 1,63,850.
"Bajaj motorcycles grew 52% in October, 2009, despite several supply constraints. Bajaj is confident of maintaining this growth rate for the rest of 2009-10", shared the company in an issued statement.
Total sale of all two wheelers also went up by 51.06%, according to the figures released by the company. Also, the firm's exports surged by 11.88% to 84,012 units in October from 75,092 units reported for the same period a year ago. The figures reported by Bajaj have been the highest ever monthly exports reported by the company.
Among the top sellers were the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, launched on October 7, which sold 127 units, 100cc Discover DTS-Si and Pulsar which sold 95,139 units and 55,413 units, respectively.
